Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market opening day set May 7

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market will open for its 18th season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, in Grove Park beside the Rehoboth Avenue traffic circle. Parking is free during market hours in the parking lot at the visitors center, 501 Rehoboth Ave., as well as on Sussex, Columbia and Henlopen avenues and the cross streets.

Almost 40 vendors will be offering fresh local produce and flowers, meat, seafood, breakfast and lunch items, and other locally handcrafted products. Market bags and other specialty items will be available to purchase at the entrance. The first 50 customers May 7 will receive a free RBFM backpack (one per family). Musical guest Kerry Hallett will be on site playing  guitar and singing a selection of favorite and familiar tunes.

The market will continue every Tuesday through October, rain or shine.
