DAC + RAL Artist Pop-Up event slated May 14 at Top of the Pines

May 8, 2024

The Developing Artist Collaboration and Rehoboth Art League will present their second collaborative event in the DAC + RAL Artist Pop-Up Series from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, at Top of the Pines, 56 Baltimore Ave, Rehoboth Beach.

With speakeasy-themed artwork on display, the 40 featured artists and guests are encouraged to dress in speakeasy attire. The Pines will participate in a dine-to-donate fundraiser, with a portion of  food and drink sales proceeds to be donated to the organizations.

During their first collaborative show at Dewey Beer Co. in March, the two organizations featured works by 24 local artists.

“The event was such a hit that we knew we wanted to keep doing it. Our intention with these pop-up art show events is to create awareness around the lack of gallery space for local artists to show their work. While there are a few local galleries going strong, many have closed in recent years,” said Leah Beach, DAC founder. “We had such a huge turnout for our first event from artists from both of our organizations, plus huge support from the community, so why not keep it going?”

“We are thrilled to keep the collaborative momentum going with Developing Artist Collaboration with yet another pop-up show in downtown Rehoboth. It's clear that artists involved with both organizations remain eager for local exhibition opportunities and networking events. We are excited to see what sort of work this pop-up theme generates for our creative community.” said Sara Ganter, Rehoboth Art League executive director.
