Eagle Crest Concerts to heat up Fridays at Hudson Fields

May 9, 2024

Eagle Crest Concerts’ Fridays in the Fields kicked off May 3 at Hudson Fields near Milton.

Despite the chilly and blustery weather, nearly 200 people celebrated the opening of this new locally operated outdoor concert venue. The festivities kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Milton Chamber of Commerce. The location previously occupied by the Revelation Beer Garden is now officially home to Eagle Crest Concerts. The mood was warm and cozy due to the energetic jam band rock music provided by the Fitzkee Brothers and the fire pits provided by Matt Carter at Quest Kayaks.

Throughout this free, all-ages event, families with young children were seen running about playing soccer, lacrosse and cornhole. Many folks took advantage of the comfortable outdoor seating under the decorative lighting strung overhead.

Taco Reho and Grandpa Mac provided food trucks, while NKS distributors provided the libations.

Grass Roots Rescue, a local dog rescue, who brought a dozen fur babies up for adoption.

“Our goal here is to enrich our community by bringing quality musical entertainment in the form of national and regional touring acts to perform with our own aspiring local musicians before a welcoming audience of neighbors and friends. This is our opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us. We are locals supporting locals,” said Shooting Star Entertainment President Chana Fitzkee.

Every Friday through Oct. 18, there will be gatherings in the space in front of Eagle Crest airport just south of Hudson Fields. All proceeds benefit Paul Kares Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization founded by Paul Cullen, former touring bassist of the band Bad Company, chef and proprietor of the Room at Cedar Grove. Paul Kares supports local, aspiring musicians and students of the culinary arts. Additionally, there will be several large, ticketed events.
