St. Patrik's Day is generally the time each year when excitement begins anew at and near Rehoboth Beach. And 2024 is no exception as we have several great things to tell you about for this second weekend of March.
While the two St. Patrick's Day parades and festivals are the headliners, there are also other things to see and do over the next few days in the coastal region.

Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade (March 10)
The 16th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Milton kicks off on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m.
Begun by Irish Eyes in 2008, this event in Milton has grown in size and fun over the years and again includes a Lucky Leprechaun 5K at 11 a.m., on Sunday.
The entry fee for the 5K is $40 and proceeds go to benefit a trio of worthwhile local organizations, including the Milton Chamber of Commerce, the Milton Fire Department, and the Gladys Wilkins Seeding the Future Scholarship Fund.
As an added attraction when you're in downtown Milton for the parade, the historic Milton Theatre will also be holding a party of its own in its quayside outdoor area.

Wilmington St. Patrick's Day Parade (March 9)
Delaware's largest city gets into the spirit of things this Saturday, March 9, as the 2024 Wilmington St. Patrick's Day Parade meanders through downtown.
The parade kicks off at noon, beginning at the intersection of 4th and King Streets and ending at the intersection of 14th and King Streets.
A Hooley, or party featuring traditional music and dance, will be held at the end of the parade route where alcohol and food can be purchased by visitors.

Health, Fitness, and Leisure Expo (March 9)
More than 80 exhibitors are scheduled for the 2024 Delaware Resorts Health, Fitness & Leisure Expo this Saturday at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and sponsored by Beebe Healthcare, exhibitors will be on hand in areas that include health and fitness, outdoor furniture, watercraft, physical therapy, golf courses, and much more.
