Dogfish Head supports Beer & Benevolence Day

Employees volunteer at 17 different locations throughout southern Delaware in annual event

On April 8, Dogfish Head closed its restaurants to give back to the community, as workers volunteered on Beer & Benevolence Day at 17 different locations throughout southern Delaware. Tasks included everything from planting at Delaware Botanical Gardens to food sorting and working in the new greenhouses at Food Bank of Delaware.

Other locations included Delaware Center for the Inland Bays, Delaware Nature Society, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, Lewes Historical Society, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Overfalls Foundation, Rehoboth Art League, Springboard Collaborative, Surfrider Foundation, Sussex County Land Trust, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, and Delaware Seashore, Cape Henlopen and Fenwick state parks.

Beer & Benevolence includes a series of events throughout the year focusing on benefitting the arts, environment and community. In 2022, the program benefited more than 100 organizations, investing nearly $600,000.
