John and Joan Hamstead of Greenwood would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Hamstead, to Lance Mears, son of Rodney and Donna Mears of Georgetown.
Ms. Hamstead is a 2003 graduate of Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville. She is also a 2007 graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Md., with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is currently a substitute teacher for the Woodbridge and Milford school districts and is working on a degree in nursing. Mr. Mears is a 2004 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown. He is employed as a service consultant at First State Chevrolet in Georgetown.
The wedding is set to take place on September 6, 2008 at Pizzadili's Vineyard and Winery in Felton, De.
