Chef Tom Deptula at The Clubhouse at Baywood has created four special dishes for Valentine's Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The warm ambiance of The Clubhouse at Baywood, which is located at Baywood Greens, a public golf course, lends itself to romance. General Manager Lisa Chambers said, "The sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere paired with Chef Tom's delicious entrees make The Clubhouse the perfect place for Valentine's Day."
Dinner specials include a pan-seared 12-ounce wagyu New York strip steak with roasted fingerling potatoes, mushrooms and a garlic-herb butter. Wagyu is generally considered the finest-quality beef in the United States.
Seafood lovers can choose from porcini-dusted halibut with mushroom risotto, baby carrots and truffle butter, or twin butter-poached lobster tails with crab-and-brie twice-baked potatoes and French green beans.
The featured dessert is a dark chocolate terrine with salted peanut toffee and peanut butter-raspberry swirl ice cream.
Wednesday is always lobster night at The Clubhouse at Baywood. For $25, guests can order a 1.25-pound whole steamed lobster with a baked potato and green beans. Guests can also choose from the regular menu items, which might include oysters on the half shell, baked oysters with smoked bacon and a selection of steaks.
