Edward C. Millett Sr., retired truck driver

Edward C. Millett Sr., 72, of Dover, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his residence.  He was born April 8, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late  Edward A. Millett and Elizabeth A. (Clifton) Millett.

Mr. Millett for many years worked as a retail truck driver.  He had proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the DAV.  He was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes and had served as an usher in the early service at church.  Fishing and gardening were of great enjoyment to him.

Mr. Millett is survived by his wife, Wanda D. (Smith) Millett; three sons, Edward C. Millett Jr. of Norwood, Pa., John Millett of Newark, and Robert Millett of Broomhall, Pa.; four stepchildren: Lisa Boulden of Easton, Md., Christine Bastek of Florida, Joseph Petroulis of Dover, and Pamela Hurley of Dover; nine grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Millett of California; and a sister, Jackie Millett, of Reading, Pa.

 Chapel Services will be held Thursday, July 7, at 1 p.m., at The Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 6, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes.
