Indian River School District open houses begin Aug. 24

Schools in the Indian River School District will host a series of open houses to allow students and parents to meet teachers and staff, view class lists, and tour school buildings. A number of schools will host multiple sessions during a three-day period, with each session catering to a different grade level.

Consult the list below for dates and times. The 2017-18 school year begins Tuesday, Sept. 5, for K-12 students.

Preschool programs, including Project VILLAGE and TOTS, will begin Monday, Sept. 11.

Indian River High School, 9th grade and new student orientation, 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 29
Georgetown Elementary School, all grades, 5 p.m.
East Millsboro Elementary School, first and second grades, 5 p.m.
John M. Clayton Elementary School, new student orientation, 5 p.m.
