PNC Bank donates supplies to Millsboro Middle School AVID program

PNC Bank in Millsboro recently donated supplies to the Advancement Via Individual Determination program at Millsboro Middle School. Jessica Johnson, manager of the PNC Bank branch in Millsboro, delivered binders, dividers and pencil pouches to Millsboro Middle School Sept. 22.

At the presentation of the supplies are (l-r) school counselor Geraldine Vota, AVID teacher Kim Cooper, Johnson and Millsboro Middle School Principal Renee Jerns.

The goal of AVID is to make college a reality for more students. Designed for eighth-grade students performing in the academic middle, the program builds motivation, foundational learning and academic self-confidence while providing insight into college expectations.
