Puzzles offers exclusive jigsaw celebrating Lewes
Locally owned Puzzles has commissioned the work of Lewes photographer Michele Buckler to provide a photographic image of Lewes; it is currently available as a jigsaw puzzle at the store. The 1,000-piece puzzle celebrates Lewes' maritime heritage and the importance of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal as a center of commerce and business for hundreds of years.
Locals and visitors alike will recognize the iconic view of the canal which also gives a nod to Lewes In Bloom and their ongoing and exhaustive efforts to beautify Lewes, resulting in its designation by America in Bloom as the most beautiful small town in America in its class.
This image of Lewes, which is suitable for framing, joins an extensive collection of Heritage Puzzles available at Puzzles that celebrate the maritime history, flora, fauna, beach life and lighthouses to be found on the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern Seaboard.
Tim Southerst, Puzzles owner, said, "Michele's beautiful photograph wonderfully captures this much-loved and iconic view of the canal in Lewes. It will stir fond memories of time spent here by vacationing families and friends, and is an evocative reminder for those of us lucky enough to live here permanently of one of the key reasons why we do. Furthermore, it is based on a view attainable just a few steps away from the entrance to Puzzles on Front Street by the bridge."
This new puzzle, a follow-up to the 550-piece Carol Dyer folk-art style puzzle launched in 2015, is the third in a series of jigsaws exclusive to Puzzles. It offers a greater challenge in a 1,000-piece format for the more seasoned puzzler, or even for a newer puzzler, group of friends or family interested in a more intricate design. "We hope puzzlers enjoy doing it, and even framing it," said Southerst. For more information, call 302-645-8013 or go to puzzles@lewespuzzles.com.
