Uday Jani honored as top physician leader in concierge medicine

June 9, 2025

Dr. Uday Jani, founder of Milton-based Shore View Personalized Medical Care, has been named one of Concierge Medicine Today’s 2025-26 Top Physician Leaders in Concierge Medicine.

Physicians named to the list have demonstrated a commitment to risk-taking, delegation and self-leadership, fostering a culture of leadership and innovation within their practices, and leveraging their gifts, skills and strengths for the benefit of their patients and communities.

CMT editor Michael Tetreault said, “These top doctors have remarkable stories, have built thriving practices, and have generous and charitable spirits. Concierge doctors are truly the salt of the earth – some of the brightest minds and kindest people you can find. We are fortunate to have them on the other side of the exam room!” Importantly, doctors cannot pay, nor is any fee or purchase required, to be named as a CMT physician leader in concierge medicine.

Jani was praised by CMT as a doctor who exemplifies the heart and soul of concierge medicine, dedicated to making each patient feel heard, well-cared for and a very special part of his practice. CMT said Jani is in continual touch with patients via personal phone calls, emails, videos, presentations, participating in fundraisers, working side by side at food pantries or running alongside them at 5Ks.

“True health is about more than mind, body and spirit, it’s about forming a community around you,” said Jani. “Concierge medicine has allowed me to do that with the time to be part of my patients’ lives, and invite them to be part of mine.”

Jani’s blend of traditional and integrative medicine is ideally suited to his concierge practice, where appointments are extended, discussions encouraged and every aspect of well-being considered, from sleep and nutrition to activity and spirituality. Between visits, a series of lively, informal videos and emails are sent regularly to patients with topics that span the gamut from introducing new team members to announcing community education talks to sharing details on his personal bout with COVID, complete with a healing family recipe.

Summers find him frequently at the area’s farmers markets, extolling the virtues of organic vegetables, medicinal mushrooms and locally made honey.

“Taking it out of the office and into the community makes it fun and changes the conversation so it’s not always just about keeping your blood pressure down or taking your daily statin. It’s a great way to promote local business and also teach people about healthy eating,” said Jani.

Jani said he values powerful physician-patient connection that distinguishes concierge medicine. He talks movingly about a patient who passed away shortly after being diagnosed with advanced liver disease.

“There was no treatment that would have made a difference, but as a concierge doctor I was able to do things that could not have happened in a traditional practice. I visited the patient at home, kept in constant contact with his wife to help her cope, and reached out to provide guidance and comfort to his family. It would not be possible to touch as many lives so personally without this model,” said Jani.

“We congratulate Dr. Jani on achieving this meaningful recognition,” said Andrew Bonner, vice president of business development for Specialdocs, concierge medicine consultants who have worked with Jani since his initial conversion to personalized care in 2014. “He has helped define this space with an extraordinary commitment to his patients, community and the concierge medicine model of care.”
