St. Jude to take bus trip for Clark performance
The American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., will host a classic tribute to the golden age of swingin’ and singin’ as Bryan Clark and his orchestra interpret the timeless repertoire of Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra. A 48-passenger deluxe motor coach will leave St. Jude’s parking lot in front of the Religious Education Center at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, for a 3 p.m. show, followed by a dinner stop at Willow Tree Restaurant and Smorgasbord. The bus will return to St. Jude’s by 10 p.m. The cost is $55, which includes orchestra seating and transportation. The cost of dinner is not included. A portion of the ticket cost will benefit St. Jude’s religious education programs. To purchase tickets, call the Religious Education Office at 644-7413. Deadline for purchase is Sept. 8. St. Jude The Apostle Church is located at 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, just north of Five Points.

Prospect AME to host Ingram family day Sept. 5

Seaside Jewish holiday services begin Sept. 9
Seaside Jewish Community will hold special holiday services this year at Epworth United Methodist Church to accommodate everyone who would like to attend services on Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur. Services for Rosh Hashanah will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, and 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 10. Yom Kippur services will begin with Kol Nidre at 7:30 p.m., Friday Sept. 17, and a service at 10 a.m., Saturday Sept. 18. While Seaside does not sell tickets for services, everyone is welcome and donations are accepted. Reservations for the break-the-fast meal must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 7. The cost is $30 for nonmembers and $25 for members. Children ages 3 to 12 pay $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Women in Faith conference set Sept. 10-11
The Bethel United Methodist Church Women’s Ministry Committee in Lewes is sponsoring a trip to the Women of Faith conference. The conference will be Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11, at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. This year’s theme is “Over The Top” and will focus on celebrating God’s love and goodness.
