Wendy S. Falco, respiratory technician
Wendy S. Falco, 58, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Christiana Seasons Hospice after a 15-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born Sept. 26, 1956, in Dover, N.J., and moved to Hackettstown, N.J. where she lived until 1985. She was married to John A. Rockle from May 26, 1984 until his death June 3, 2006. She moved to Milton in 1985 and attended Del Tech in Georgetown for respiratory therapy, and became a respiratory therapy technician and worked at Beebe Hospital from 1993 to 2001. She then built a home in Harbeson where she and her family opened Takadence Acres Animal Rescue,Inc. on a 16-acre parcel of land. The shelter closed in 2008 due to her health. After, she moved to Wilmington with her current husband, Joseph F. Falco Jr., owner of Joe Falco Portable Welding Inc. Together they continued to fight her battle with her ovarian cancer. Joseph and Wendy were married June 16, 2012 after six wonderful years of being together.
In addition to her first husband John A. Rockle, she was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Phyllis (Cleveland) Jordan; and brother Ronald Richard Jordan.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Falco; children Michael Allen Rockle, Jennifer Lynn Bell, John Adam Rockle Jr. and Matthew Aaron Rockle; grandchildren Andreya Kelly, Maile Jordan Bell, Richie Bell, Olivia Bell, Matthew Aaron Rockle Jr., Autumn Rose Rockle, Alexander Rockle, Evelyn Rockle and Cheyenne M. Clarke; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday May 21, at 11:30 a.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. A visitation will also be held the night before Wednesday May 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at the Delaware Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery in Millsboro.
