Juan was a member of the Church of God (Israelite) in Milford. He used to serve as pastor to the church “La Senda Antigua” in Millsboro. Juan was a good, God loving, caring man.
He would give anyone the shirt off his back if he could. When someone needed a ride somewhere, Juan was there to take them. He had no limits to how he would help people in need, no matter what race, creed or nationality.
He was an excellent cook and would cook for hours. He made huge feasts to make sure everyone had enough to eat.

He had a special gift to bring everyone together when they were at odds. Juan was always happy, but when he went a long period of time without food, he would get moody. His family says that when Jesus Christ comes for the second time, they hope to see Juan in the second coming of Jesus Christ. They thank God that he had the opportunity to see his grandson.
