Betty J. Miller, Pilgrims Ministry member
Betty J. Miller, 75, of Millsboro passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at home. Betty was a member of Pilgrims Ministry of Deliverance, Georgetown. She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Edith Street Harmon; and her husband, Reginald N. Miller Sr. who passed in 1989. She is survived by her sons, Reginald N. Miller Jr. and wife Tina of Millsboro, and Anthony G. Miller and wife Marie of Millsboro; one daughter, Kathie Sunkett and husband Lester of Milton; three brothers, Thomas and Anette Harmon of Smyrna, Douglas and Delores Harmon of Dover, and Winfred Harmon of Millsboro; one sister, Sylvia Morris and husband Preston of Millsboro; five grandchildren, Steven and Karen Miller, Lamar and Tamaro Thompson, Rick and Morgan Thompson, Jody and John Brown, Jessie and Ronald Pritchet; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 21, at Pilgrims Ministry of Deliverance, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

Robert “Bob” Palamar, Verizon retiree
Robert “Bob” Palamar, 61, of Milton and formerly of Limerick, Pa., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at his home, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Feb. 9, 2009.
Bob was a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School in 1965 where he was a member of the cross country team and gymnastics team.
He attended West Chester University until 1968 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electronics technician and served aboard the USS Forrestal.
Prior to his honorable discharge, he had achieved the rank of petty officer second class.
He was a former member of the Phoenixville Lions Club, where he had served as president. He retired in 2002 after 30 years with Verizon, formerly Bell of Pennsylvania, and briefly worked as a receiver at Food Lion in Milton. He was a licensed ham radio operator with the call sign WA3HRN.
Bob was a former member of Lower Pottsgrove Sportsmen’s club, Spring City American Legion and Broadkiln VFW in Milton. He had been an avid musician for many years involved with several local Pennsylvania bands, most recently with the Bill Koss Combo, Pottstown, Pa., as an accordionist and keyboard player. Prior to relocation to Milton, he was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
He was predeceased by his father, John Palamar, and in-laws, Joseph and Ruth Perambo.
He leaves to cherish his memory his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years, Carole Perambo Palamar; daughters, Dr. Colette Palamar and her husband Justin Metcalf and granddaughter Sabine of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Denise Yocum of Milton, Heather and her husband Fred Giovannitti and grandchildren Freddie and Sofia, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; his mother, Mary Popovich Palamar of Phoenixville, Pa.; brothers, John Palamar Jr. and his wife Gerry of Ohio, David Palamar of New Jersey, and Edward Palamar of Pennsylvania; and brother-in-law, J. Thomas Perambo and his wife Germaine of Georgia.
The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and doctors at Christiana Care who assisted in his care. Cremation was followed by a small service (Celebration of Life) Saturday, March 21, at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

Thomacine M. Kidwell, loving mother
Thomacine M. Kidwell, 45, of Long Neck, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at Christiana Care Health Center in Newark, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving, strong mother and hard, respected worker.
She is survived by her son, Robert E. Mueller; three daughters, Christine M. Singleton, Katherine L. Mueller and Carleigh M. Wilson; two sisters, Pamela Shah and Edna Martin; a loving companion, Lewis Wilson; and three grandchildren, Malachi Morris, Brooklyn Morris and Ellie Skye Bradford.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 23, at Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro.

Arline Burtelle Murray, field engineer
Arline Burtelle Murray, 87, of Ocean View, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. Born in Seaford, the daughter of the late Emma Cooper and Hugh W. Burtelle Sr., she was a field engineer for the former Bell Atlantic Company out of Newport. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, a member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church, and a graduate of Seaford High School, class of 1939. She is survived by her husband, Pat Murray of Ocean View; a son, Ben Culver; and a daughter, Judy Hill, both of Seaford; three stepsons, Barry Murray of Middletown, Patrick Murray of Long Neck, and Reynolds Murray Jr. of Townsend; a stepdaughter, Diane Osburne of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services and burial will be private. Arrangements by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford.

Jeannette J. Warrington, Concord Baptist member
Jeannette J. Warrington, 83, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Decatur, Ga. Jeannette was born in Bridgeville, daughter of the late Horace and Wilma Jones. She was a homemaker and had attended Concord Baptist Church. Her husband, Sheridan James Warrington, also preceded her in death. Jeannette is survived by three daughters, Sharon W. Lovekin of Atlanta, Ga., Janice W. Gallo of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Larraine W. Steinle and husband Alan of Wilmington; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. A. Nelson “Nancy” Sills of Houston. A graveside service will be noon, Thursday, March 26, in Harbeson Cemetery.
