Major S. Foster, Lincoln resident
Major Stephen Foster, 45, of Lincoln, son of Bishop Major Foster and Betty E. Foster, departed this life Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Foster is the husband of Angeleen Foster. Services will be 12:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, at Philadelphia Pentecostal Holiness Church, South Old State Road, Ellendale, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Ministry of Comfort by Young and McPherson Funeral Home, Milford.

Lester J. Wells III, avid fisherman
Lester James “Junior” Wells III, 55, of Gumboro, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.
His mother, Elva Fisher Wells, preceded Junior in death in 2008. He is survived by his father, Lester James Wells Jr. of Gumboro; his wife of 27 years, Deborah H. Wells; two special nieces who lived with him, Tara and Chelsea Joseph; a brother, William J. Wells and wife Kaye of Millville; and a sister, Bonnie Wilkerson and husband Charlie of Gumboro.
He is also survived by four nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and -nephews; two great-great-nephews; his beloved canine friend, Mandy; and many, many friends across Delmarva.
He was a sales and service dispatcher for G&M Sales in Salisbury. Junior was devoted to his family and everyone’s children, and his church family at Country Baptist Church.
Junior was an avid fisherman, NASCAR and stock car fan. He loved to help on pit crews at the Delmarva Speedway.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Nov. 5, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, with interment in Dale Cemetery, Whaleyville, Md.
Pastors Kevin Lewis and John Merritt officiated.

Betty J. Anderson, former sales associate
Betty J. “B.J.” Anderson, 92, of Lewes, formerly of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leila Silcox and wife of 69 years to Roy G. Anderson, who passed away in August 2006.
Betty was a retail sales associate in Vero Beach, Fla., and in Lewes until she retired at the age of 90.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas R. and his wife Virginia of Lewes, Robert H. of Lewes and Timothy L. and his wife Laura of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Ryan T. Anderson of Crofton, Md., and Elizabeth “Beth” Skaradek of Gambrills, Md.; and three great-grandchildren, Kailey, Kirra and Ethan.
Services will be held at a later date. Contributions are being accepted in memory of Betty at the First United Methodist Church, 1750 20th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960. Arrangements by Corleto-Latina Funeral Home.
