Exhibit opens at Nassau Valley Vineyards Nov. 8
The Delaware Shore Artist’s Group will kick off its first area exhibit with an opening reception at the Nassau Valley Vineyards Winery from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8.

The exhibit, featuring original art by 15 up-and-coming local artists, will remain in place through Monday, Nov. 30. There will be more than 50 paintings and prints, including original oils, watercolors and acrylics at the show, all offered for sale.

The show will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. There is no charge for admission to the reception and exhibit.

The winery, Delaware’s first and only award-winning winery, is located between Route 1 and Route 9 near the Nassau bridge. In addition to the art show, the winery offers free self-guided tours and wine tastings during exhibit hours.

The Delaware Shore Artists Group began in 2004, when a small group of artists began studying at Wilmington University in Rehoboth Beach. Under the tutelage of Linda Mintkowski, students were encouraged to expand the limits of their artistic expression, exploring various media and developing individual styles.

Several members have exhibited individually and have been recognized at area competitions and juried shows. Venues have included the Rehoboth Art League, St. Peter’s Art Show, Wilmington University, CAMP Rehoboth and the Beebe Art Auction.
