Gallery One offers holiday cards
For the first time, Gallery One has published a set of holiday cards.

Each box has 16 different images, one by each of the gallery artists. Cards are available at Gallery One, 32 Atlantic Ave. in Ocean View, and at Browseabout Books, 133 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach.

The cards include familiar scenes like Delaware’s tall ship Kalmar Nyckel, a lifeguard’s chair, a path to the beach, rural farm scenes, and the Zwaanendael Museum embellished with festive greenery and snow. Other cards have whimsical shore birds and friendly domestic cats dressed for the season. The cards are blank inside allowing for personal salutations or notes.

For two years the gallery has published everyday boxed cards of local art, and they have been very popular, selling out the first edition.

Gallery One member Dianne Shearon, who has directed both editions of cards, spearheaded the development of the new boxed set.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to offer our customers cards to send out during the holidays? I have created my own cards over the years and I use them in so many different ways. I send them to friends welcoming the holiday enclosing the yearly family updates, or other times I have used them as thank-you notes or letters,” she said.

Gallery One, open seven days a week, represents 16 local artists and several local fine artisans at 32 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View. For more information, call 302-537-5055 or visit galleryonede.com
