Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary is sponsoring a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Wednesday, March 3. The price of $65 includes the ride to and from Philadelphia on a luxury coach bus with rest room, the flower show admission ticket and a donation to Safe Haven.
The Safe Haven bus will leave from the Kmart shopping center in Rehoboth at 8 a.m. and make a stop at about 8:15 a.m. to pick up people at the Shell station on Route 1 in Milford. The expected time of return is 6 p.m. in Milford and 6:15 p.m. in Rehoboth.
The theme of this year’s flower show is “Passport to the World.” The themes for the showcase gardens are India, South Africa, Brazil, Singapore and New Zealand. Find out more at theflowershow.com.
The deadline for signing up and payment is Wednesday, Feb. 17. Payment may be made online at safehavende.org or by sending a check made out to Safe Haven with “Flower Show Benefit Trip” on the memo line to Safe Haven, P.O. Box 430, Nassau, DE 19969. People who don’t want to leave their dog(s) home alone can take them for a day of cage-free fun at Doggies at the Beach on Route 24 near of Rehoboth Beach.
They are giving a 10 percent discount to anyone going on the bus trip. Call to make a reservation and mention the trip to get the discount.
