Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
It's starting to feel a whole lot like Spring over the last few days here at the Delaware and Maryland beaches, as well as in communities and municipalities throughout Delmarva.
We've got some great outdoor activities coming up this weekend to tell you about, in addition to a couple of things you can enjoy indoors as well.
This weekend is headlined by a number of great events at the Delaware beaches, including this year's Coastal Delaware Running Festival in Rehoboth Beach, a popular home expo in Lewes and some chocolate covered fun, also in the "Nation's Summer Capital."

Coastal Delaware Running Festival (April 14-16)
This annual event will be held over the upcoming three-day weekend and is centered on downtown Rehoboth Beach.
"Delaware's Coolest Marathon," as it's been dubbed by organizers, both begins and ends on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and will be held on Sunday, April 16, beginning at 7 a.m.
Other events during the festival include a half marathon, a 9K, a 5K and both the "Cape Challenge" and the "Fort Miles Challenge," each of which is held over the course of both Saturday and Sunday.
The Sunday marathon is a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon, to be held later this year.

Spring Home Expo (April 15-16)
This 25th annual event will be held this Saturday and Sunday at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
Once again free to the public, the expo is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Sunday.
More than 90 exhibitors are expected for the 2023 event, which includes builders, insurance firms, Realtors, developers and service companies.

Harry K Foundation Chocolate Crawl (April 15)
The former Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival is now the Harry K Foundation Chocolate Crawl, which takes place this Saturday, April 15, in downtown Rehoboth Beach.
Scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m., more than 20 downtown Rehoboth Beach businesses will be serving up chocolate specialties, including baked goods, candies, beverages and more.
All proceeds will benefit the work of the Harry K Foundation, which is geared toward alleviating hunger and food insecurity for Delaware children.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Learn more at harrykfoundation.org.
