Strap in for another great Fall Festival Weekend at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches, with this week's activities highlighted by award-winning and immensely popular festivals in Rehoboth Beach, Bridgeville, and Milton.
So whether it's listening to smooth jazz in the "Nation's Summer Capital," celebrating the love of scrapple a bit to the west, or enjoying some delicious "Punkin Ale" in Milton, it's a great weekend for enjoying all that the region has to offer during this very special time of the year.
So let's get right to it and tell you about everything that's happening during the extended weekend of October 13-15.
Here are our top choices for this second weekend of October. Have a great time!
Apple Scrapple Festival (October 13-14)
This nationally recognized festival is celebrating its 30th year in 2023 and is planned for October 13-14 in the small western Sussex County town of Bridgeville.
The main events of the festival include a two-day carnival, a Little Miss Apple Scrapple pageant, a classic car show, a farmer's market, a craft show, a health & safety fair, a trade show, a Friday night street dance, live music and much more.
And don't forget to be there in time for. the Mayor's Scrapple Sling on Saturday at 2 p.m., where Sussex County mayors compete in the type of event you'll only see in southern Delaware.

The event is held in multiple locations throughout the resort, including the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, the Rusty Rudder, the Cape Henlopen Performing Arts Theatre, Epworth United Methodist Church, and the Lewes Farmer's Market.
Dozens of artists are scheduled to perform in 2023 between Thursday, October 12, and Sunday, October 15. Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling 800-595-4849.

True Blue Jazz Festival (October 11-15)
Peggy Raley and Eddie Sherman bring you the 11th annual True Blue Jazz Festival, which features local and regional jazz musicians and is an alternative to the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival.
Scheduled for October 11-15, this independent jazz festival focuses on mainstream jazz music and is billed as "the only place to catch the best live straight-ahead jazz acts in Rehoboth Beach."
The 2023 festival features an impressive lineup with acts scheduled for the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, the Rehoboth Beach Fire House, and Nassau Valley Vineyards.
