Ingredients:
- 12 whole chicken wings or drummettes
- 3 locally brewed craft beers
- 1 cup of The Shizzle Original Recipe Jerk Marinade
Directions:
- Open and begin drinking first beer.
- Fill up a 6 quart saucepan with about an inch of water. Place a steamer basket or colander in the bottom of the saucepan, and over high heat, cover and bring water to a boil.
- If using whole wings, remove the tips of the wings and discard or save for making stock. Using kitchen shears or a knife, separate the wings at the joint.
- After water begins to boil, reduce the heat to medium, place the wings into the steamer basket, cover, and steam for 10 minutes (steaming releases excess fat and juices which can make a mess in the oven, plus it opens the pores for the tasty Shizzle).
- Remove the wings from the basket and shake or pat away excess juice, and place the wings into a mixing bowl. Pour enough of The Shizzle Original Recipe Jerk Marinade into bowl to generously coat the wings (about a cup). Using a large spoon or tongs, stir and toss the wings to coat thoroughly with The Shizzle Original Recipe Jerk Marinade. Place the bowl into the freezer for 20-30 minutes (as the wings cool, they will soak up generous amounts of Shizzle flavor).
- As soon as wings go into freezer, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- After 20-30 mins, pull wings out of freezer and stir thoroughly to ensure wings are fully coated. Place wings on foil-lined baking sheet (optional: put a cooling rack on top of the baking sheet to elevate wings and ensure most even and crispy outcome). Place wings in oven on center rack.
- Open and begin drinking second beer.
- After 20 minutes, flip wings over and turn oven heat up tp 425 degrees.
- Bake wings for another 15 minutes, or until caramelized and crispy.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes, and serve warm. Open and begin drinking third locally brewed craft beer!
