Woman Boater Wednesday!

It is Woman Boater Wednesday, and a very special one at that because not only is LeeAnn one of the very first members of FBCD... but it is also her birthday! ?

"For as long as I can remember I have loved the water. In the early summer of 2016, my husband, Chuck, and I retired to Lewes, DE. As part of the agreement to retire I made it clear that I wanted a boat. This better-than reality dream was realized at the 2018 Boat Show in Ocean City, MD when we met Bev and Tom and joined the Freedom Boat Club!

Becoming an FBCD member has introduced me to friends who have helped me become comfortable operating a boat on the water! Captain Holly Ann’s expert training in parallel and head-in docking, safe anchoring, and learning how to use the state-of-the art Navionics navigation app have given me confidence to complete the requirements as Captain.

In addition, sharing experiences at the social events and activities enable us to meet other members who have similar interests and love getting out and having fun!"
