Following a successful visit to the First Town in the First State this past December, actress, painter and entrepreneur Eve Plumb is returning Saturday, Sept. 3.
Plumb, who famously played Jan Brady in “The Brady Bunch,” launched PlumbGoods with her husband, Ken Pace. The Burbank, Calif., native said it has always been a dream to create colorful home decor that balances comfort with playful designs. She stopped by Jeff West Home in Lewes Dec. 4, 2021, to meet fans and sell creations from her line.
During that visit, Plumb appropriately had several Christmas-themed items, but this time around, patrons of Jeff West Home will be able to purchase bags of her recently launched terrier-inspired line of coffee. “Happiness Included Coffee” is ethically sourced and plays off PlumbGoods’ motto “Happiness Included.” Plumb and Pace own terriers and the couple met for their first date at a coffee shop. Plumb often paints their visits when she gets time, but she said she has been so busy with designs for her home decor that she hasn’t been at the easel as much since her last visit.
Customers and fans Sept. 3 will get a chance to see the PlumbGoods Daisy – a six-point, brightly colored theme harking back to the ’70s with a nod to the classic sitcom. Plumb said the six petals represent the six characters from “The Brady Bunch” and they use a 1970s color wheel. In addition to the items featuring the daisies, seasonal-themed scented soy candles will also be available for sale.
“It was a really beautiful jewel box of a store and a lot of folks came out, which was great,” Plumb said of her last visit to Jeff West Home. “What's nice is that everyone is very, very nice and friendly.”
Plumb said she really enjoyed West’s store and believes he has wonderful items available. Plumb said she looks forward to having a fun time on her return trip. As a California coast native, Plumb is hoping to enjoy the pleasantry of Lewes Beach during her stay here as well. Constantly looking for ways to expand her product line, as well as continuing in her career in the entertainment business, Plumb has yet to stop working. In fact, she has just recently wrapped up voiceover acting for a brand new animated series on Freeform called “Praise Petey.” The show, which has yet to be released, will feature Schitt’s Creek alum Annie Murphy. Plumb plays a character named Bang Judy, and if you haven’t already guessed, the show is slated to cater to an older audience.
“Retirement as an idea of stopping working is something that I think we should retire,” Plumb said.
