The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has named 10 Worcester Prep varsity field hockey players to the National Academic Squad, and two were also recognized as Scholars of Distinction.
The student-athletes honored include Hailee Arrington of Salisbury, Md.; Virginia Bateman of Rehoboth Beach; Rylie Carey of Dagsboro; Ally Elerding of Bishopville, Md.; Aly Matha of Greenbackville, Va.; Molly McCormick of Bishopville; Hana Miller of Willards, Md.; Maya Natesan of Salisbury; Abbi Nechay of Hebron, Md.; and Dana Anderson of Princess Anne, Md.
The National Academic Squad program recognizes high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2018-19 school year as Scholars of Distnction. Those include Natesan and Nechay.
