Accent on Travel wins Abercrombie & Kent Award for travel services

May 13, 2022

Accent on Travel recently joined a select group of U.S. travel companies to connect with, chosen by Abercrombie & Kent, the pioneer of luxury travel and the world’s undisputed luxury travel leader for over 60 years, at its annual event.

Annette Nero Stellhorn, Accent on Travel founder/owner, said, “Accepting the award on behalf of the entire Accent on Travel team of professional travel advisors, who have worked so hard through this pandemic, is one of the most memorable moments of my career.”

Accent on Travel was invited into the Abercrombie & Kent 100 Club in 2020 based on the team’s continued relationship with Abercrombie & Kent’s 55 offices in 30 countries servicing all seven continents.

Stellhorn said, “Being a member of the A&K 100 Club is of great benefit to our advisors and to our travelers. We are not talking about a relationship with a chain of resorts or a specific cruise line that we sell more exclusively than others. Imagine it as a network of reliable travel services covering the entire world. Many of these offices, such as in the relatively small country of Italy, have over 50 full-time staff handling 2,500 guides, drivers, hotel contacts, yacht managers and other unique travel services for multiple countries, and multiply that out over 30 countries. Having the ear of the management of these offices to make a quick call on a client’s behalf saves our guests stress, money and valuable time while traveling.

“More travelers are feeling more comfortable walking away from a prepackaged itinerary of a large group tour or shore excursion and would like services more personalized to their preferences. Accent on Travel can provide those services with ease. As a tour operator in the Accent on Travel portfolio of companies, Abercrombie & Kent provides our guests with first-class and luxury travel experiences in five different styles of travel. The Accent on Travel team collaborates with clients and then coordinates all services, including 24/7 local emergency travel services to manage the client’s experience.

“True luxury, in my opinion, is a matter of having services and experiences that are more personalized and unique to the traveler and managed for them, along with preferably more boutique hotels or even international chains that the traveler is comfortable with. As a person’s disposable income budgeted for travel rises, the Accent on Travel team has the broader portfolio including companies such as A&K to fit the increased budget.”

Accent on Travel has also coordinated hundreds of COVID-19 tests in hotels and pharmacies for Delawareans traveling to Europe through A&K in order to provide vacationers ease in moving from country to country if planned, as well as the required testing to return to the U.S.

Accent on Travel, headquartered in Rehoboth Beach, has 10 full-time certified travel advisors and is currently creating more space to hire additional professional travel planners. For more information, go to accentontravel.com.
