Against the wind to help those with MS

Cyclists raise nearly $1 million during Bike to the Bay
September 29, 2012

Nearly 2,000 cyclists braved a strong southwest wind as they rode south from Dover to Delaware Seashore State Park during Bike MS: Bike to the Bay, presented by NRG Energy Indian River generating station. Then, many of the same riders headed back north toward Dover facing a northern wind the following day. Riders could choose from six rides Sept. 22-23 ranging from 17 miles to 150 miles and 175 miles. Organizers expected cyclists to raise nearly $1 million to support national multiple sclerosis research and programs and services for the 1,550 Delawareans who suffer from the disease.
