Alan B. Tuttle wins award in Brandywine Valley Plein Air Competition

Lewes artist Alan B. Tuttle took third place in the 2014 Children’s Beach House Plein Air Brandywine Valley Competition held Oct. 24.
An opening at Winterthur showcased over 600 works by nearly 100 artists from all over the U.S.
For the competition, each artist was given the task of painting in the open air in natural light, rain or shine (two of the four days had all-day rains), completing the work and turning it in to event organizers each day.
