Alexander Partyka, loving husband, father
Alexander "Pop" Partyka joined his wife, Judy Partyka, in heaven Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.
He leaves behind his loving family, his brother, Karl (Sonny) Partyka; his daughters, Angie Lord Lewczak (Frank) and LeAnna Nguyen; his sons, Andrew (Michelle) and Duane (Dana); daughter-in-law, Marsha; his nephew, Matt (Mary); his grandchildren, Morganne Colburn (Kyle), Alden Partyka, Alex Lord and Jonathan Nguyen; and great-granddaughter, Lillie Sweeten.
Al was born March 29, 1944, in Pennsylvania. He retired from NCR as a field engineer in 2001 after 40 years of service but continued to work with computers, helping several small businesses. Over the years, Pop had many hobbies, including fishing, woodworking, photography, bird-watching, and computers, but his true passion was giving of himself. He led his life as a man of God with humility and generosity. He was always ready to take on any project as the true renaissance man he was.
A heartfelt thank you to family and friends for your support when we needed it most. A special thanks to his neighbors, Ben and Karen Atkins, for their loving help with Pop over the years.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 102 E. Laurel St., Georgetown, with food and fellowship to follow. Dress is casual.
