All-lane stop at Beaver Dam-Dairy Farm roads

In its ongoing project to convert rural road intersections into all-way stops, Delaware Department of Transportation has changed the dangerous Beaver Dam Road-Dairy Farm Road junction near Lewes into an all-way stop. The Robinsonville Road-Cedar Grove Road intersection was recently converted to an all-way stop as well.

In February 2021, DelDOT published All-Way Stop Control guidelines, according to DelDOT Director of Community Relations Charles “C.R.” McLeod. That document focused primarily on intersections within subdivisions along low-speed residential streets. Since that report, using crash data, DelDOT has been converting intersections to all-way stops along roadways with high-crash data. Over the past five years, 22 intersections were converted.
