VIA and Beebe team for CPR and AED training sessions
The Village Improvement Association recently welcomed Beebe Heathcare Population Health Department members who provided a CPR class and AED demonstration to members and friends.
Beebe team members Loretta Newsom, Sarah Schaber and Stacie Gosting brought adult and infant manikins, and different models of AED devices. Participants in the two sessions were taught both infant and adult CPR, and then had the opportunity to practice on the manikins. Practice on the AED devices showed how user-friendly the life-saving devices are.
The VIA will partner with the Beebe Population Health Department again in October for a health screening and free flu shot event, open to the public, at the VIA clubhouse.
A member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and GFWC Delaware, the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach is a women’s civic and charitable organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
