Andrew C. (Drew) Abbott, church member

 Andrew C. (Drew) Abbott, 83, was born March 20, 1936, and raised in Georgetown, the son of the late Howard S. Abbott and Margaret Jarvis Abbott. He joined the Church Triumphant Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.

Drew was a lifelong member and elder of Georgetown Presbyterian Church. He is survived by Candy, his wife of 44 years; daughter Dana Painter, wife of John; son Troy Abbott; stepdaughter Kim Bullock, wife of Wyatt; grandchildren Natalie, Trevor, Kade and Saige; great-grandchildren Jaxton and Brooklynn, and soon-to-be-born Andrew.

Candy's role as caregiver and Drew's struggle with Alzheimer's are over at last. He has wanted to "go home" for years and made the journey to Jesus.
 
A celebration of Drew’s life will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at noon, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 203 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, where family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon with a luncheon following the service.
