Andrew Warren Esterly, active in community
Andrew Warren Esterly, 82, of Georgetown, and formerly of Leesport, Pa., passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024. He was born in Reading, Pa., to the late Warren A. Esterly and Grace Helen Dolan Chlar.
He worked for many years as a machinist at Polymer Corporation in Reading, Pa., where he retired. Following his retirement, he and his beloved wife moved to Delaware to enjoy life near the beach. In Delaware, he worked for several years in the maintenance department at Delaware Technical Community College.
An active community member, Andrew was also a proud member of American Legion Post 28. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, with fishing and hunting among his favorite hobbies. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, particularly alongside his loyal dog, Abbi.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Sandra A. Esterly of Georgetown; a son, Kevin Esterly of Georgetown; and a granddaughter, Kristin Esterly. Andrew will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
