Angola by the Bay will host its 48th annual craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 15, rain or shine, at its community clubhouse at 33457 Woodland Circle, Lewes.
More than 100 vendors from throughout the state will be selling their wares including stained-glass works, handmade fabric items, lawn ornaments, clothing, bath and body products, driftwood art, photographs, jewelry, fishing lures, original paintings and more. A local knife sharpener will offer services for the first time in years. Local authors will be onsite selling their books.
“The ABTB craft show has an incredible mix of vendors from fine art to affordable crafts,” said Kathy Fessenbecker, local artist. “The best part is that we all stay cool under trees in a grove next to the parking lot that keep us shaded.”
The event has become a locals’ favorite. Shoppers get to stroll through a lovely, wooded area where rows of vendors display their goods. Parking and admission are free, and customers may purchase drinks and food provided by the ABTB men’s club, the Owls.
The craft show is sponsored by the Sea Gals, part of the ABTB community. Established in 1975, the Sea Gals is a social and a fundraising group made up of 70 women who contribute monies raised to support local nonprofit organizations, charitable groups, and projects within the ABTB community and surrounding area. Charities include Pathways to Success, Sonshine Equine Therapy Center, Habitat for Humanity, local food pantries and Boys & Girls Clubs. Other fundraising activities sponsored by the Sea Gals include a Mahjong tournament and a yard sale.
