Ann and Robert Fillmore celebrate 50th anniversary
Ann and Robert Fillmore celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 2, 2011. They were married in Roselle, N.J., and lived there for a few years before moving to Rahway, N.J. They stayed in Rahway for about 20 years and retired to Lewes in 1995.
Robert worked for Englehard Industries in New Jersey for 30 years, doing documentation for Englehard's export department, which shipped precious metals all over the world. Ann worked for First Fidelity Bank in Rahway for five years in the ATM department.
The Fillmores have four children, Robert Fillmore Jr., Roberta Gomez, Carol Fernandez and Edward Fillmore; and five grandchildren, Edi and Cris Fernandez, Robert "Bobby" Fillmore III and Sean Fillmore, and Ali Gomez.
Their anniversary party will be Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Angola Beach and Estates Clubhouse, with catering by Lido's Restaurant and family and friends in attendance.
