Looking to provide the local community with a new level of holistic healing, Anna Mae, founder of online store Anna Mae Minerals, is opening Anna Mae Minerals Crystal Healing Center in Peddler’s Village west of Lewes.

Originally from Baltimore City, Mae has been an entrepreneur her whole life. She owned a bookstore and a tattoo parlor that had a holistic healing operation on the third floor. That was in the 1990s when it wasn’t common, she said.

Mae said she started her online mineral marketplace in 2018 with her last few thousand dollars. It took off, she said.

Now, she’s opening a storefront in the Angola area that will act as a showroom for crystals and provide a place for holistic healers to work.

It’s located in what was most recently the Nifty Pickle, and Mae said it’s taken her a couple of years to find a good location that has enough room for her crystals and provides office space for holistic healing services.

Joining Mae at the healing center are Jena Marie, a certified Shamanic Reiki practitioner and certified death doula; Karen Carlucci Wahner, author and Reiki practitioner; and Elisebeth Russell, a licensed massage therapist.

Rents are expensive in eastern Sussex County, so having flexible office space allows for a variety of services under one roof, Mae said.

“We want to provide services that don’t break the bank,” she said.

Mae said there will be a grand opening celebration Saturday, April 13. There will be swag bags, demonstrations, live music and food, she said.
