Area churches accepting donations Nov. 14-21 for Operation Christmas Child

National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child this year will take place Nov. 14-21, with more than 4,500 drop-off locations open across the country. Those who wish to support the program, which collects and distributes millions of gift-filled shoeboxes to countries around the world, can deliver their donations to the following Sussex County locations at the listed times. New Covenant Church at 3072 Savannah East Drive, Lewes, will accept drop-offs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14; 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15; 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16; 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17; 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19; 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20; and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 21.

Long Neck Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road Millsboro, will accept drop-offs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, Nov. 14 to 18. Weekend hours will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19; and 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20. The final opportunity for drop-offs will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21.

Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, will accept drop-offs from 9 to 11 a.m., Mondays, Nov. 14 and 21, and Thursday, Nov. 17; 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 15 and 16; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18; 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19; and 8 to 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 20.
