Bloody Mary takes Punky Bruiser to the mat in championship bout
August 31, 2012

It's a show, and there's no doubt about that. In the debut bout of the Delaware Arm Wrestling Ladies League, eight wrestlers from Sussex County put their inhibitions aside Aug. 24 at Timothy's Tap House and Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach. As the crowd cheered, the wrestlers raised more than $1,400 for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Delaware and a new DAWLL scholarship.

In the finals, Bloody Mary (aka Alexandra Magee) beat Punky Bruiser (aka Alison Schrader) for the first championship.

Ladies arm wrestling tournaments offer a high-energy show involving antics, spectacles, costumes, burlesque, dance-offs, challenges, humor and hijinks, and at the end of the night, a champion is crowned.
