Art of floral design workshop set Aug. 17-18

Rehoboth Art League will host a two-day workshop on floral design from 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17 and 18, at 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.

Instructor Źaneta Zubkova will provide hands-on guidance on the art of flower arranging with an emphasis on seasonal availability and sourcing of materials. She will highlight aspects of floral design such as selection, proportion, color theory and composition. The workshop intends to offer any gardener the knowledge to survey the raw materials in their own garden and successfully utilize them for personal enjoyment.

The workshop is available for students at beginner and intermediate skill levels, age 18 and older. The cost of the class is $100 for members and $110 for nonmembers.
