Arthur Warrington, DelDOT retiree

Arthur “Art” Warrington, 79, of Millsboro, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, after a brief stay at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes and Harrison House in Georgetown. Art was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janet L. Warrington, earlier this year.

He was born on July 6, 1945, in Lewes, to the late Harbeson Hickman and Anna Marian (Mitchell) Warrington. He had one brother, Denny Warrington, who passed several years ago.

He is survived by a nephew, cousins, and many close friends.

Art retired from DelDOT in 2004 as a heavy equipment operator after 27 years of service. After he retired, he would do small jobs on his backhoe, driving a tractor for local farmers and cutting grass for multiple properties.  Art enjoyed buying and restoring old cars, and going to car shows.

Since services will be private, in lieu of flowers, consider making donations in memory of Art to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 30265 Commerce Drive, Millsboro, DE 19966.
