Arts for Peace to raise money for Ukraine refugees May 17
Clear Space Theatre in partnership with Timbella Foundation will host the Arts for Peace fundraiser at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, to support Ukrainian refugees.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward Ukrainian refugee housing in Warsaw, Poland. Clear Space will also donate to the cause any money sent to @ClearSpaceTheare through Venmo with the comment “Ukraine.”
Arts for Peace will feature a variety of artists. Dancers from the Dance Conservatory, the official school of the Ballet Theatre Dover, will perform with guest violinist Izabela Parsons. Parsons was a member of Alizma, a violin trio that performed at the Grammys, was featured in "America's Got Talent" and toured internationally. Alizma was also featured in numerous TV shows and documentaries.
Parsons, a native of Poland, will play music from her Eastern European roots to support the Ukrainian people in the struggle to keep their country's sovereignty. Her parents own and operate a hotel in Warsaw which has now been converted into a refugee space.
The fundraiser will also include Berkleigh Mack Fadden and CST artist Marian Sunnegren performing classical pieces.
To purchase tickets to support the Ukrainian refugee response, go to ClearSpaceTheatre.org or call the box office at 302-227-2270. Clear Space Theatre is at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
