Association of the US Army contributes to veterans trust fund

Representing the Association of the United States Army, Retired US Army Col. Gary Dawson presented a $2,000 contribution for the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund to Dave Skocik, president of the Friends of Delaware Veterans July 20 at the Commission of Veterans Affairs office in Dover. The donation comes from proceeds of the association’s annual Team Scramble Golf tournament in Bethany Beach. “We are pleased to support Delaware’s veterans,” said Dawson.
The Friends is the official fundraising organization of the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund. Its board of made up of veterans who work pro bono to provide emergency financial assistance to veterans in proven need.
