She recorded 73 goals and 32 assists her senior year. “Superia is a true freshman starting on a top five team,” said Molly Phillips, her coach at Dover. “We are all excited to watch what she can do.” Tyresa Smith, who led Polytech to a state championship in basketball and was a star at the University of Delaware, is her aunt. Superia is majoring in neuroscience.

Lindsay Monigle

The West Chester University Golden Rams women’s lacrosse team opened the season Feb. 21, beating Shepherd College 20-9. Lindsay Monigle, now a graduate student, came back for her fifth year and was the leading scorer in the game, notching three goals and giving assists for eight points. Last season, Lindsay led the team with 110 points, starting all 20 games. Lindsay was first-team All-PSAC East. In 2022, she was named Philly SIDA Academic All-Area. Lindsay scored her 100th goal in her final game for Cape in 2018, when the Vikings beat Saint Mark’s for the state championship 15-5. West Chester is currently ranked third in the Division II national poll.

Rossella Nardi

A junior and starting attacker for the Delaware State Hornets, from Kingston, N.Y., Rosella helped her high school team become Section 9 champions during her three years. She was named to the Section 9 all-star team as a high school junior. Her senior season was canceled due to COVID. Rosella plays with New York cool and confidence. The Hornets lifted off 2023 with a 2-1 record, losing a heartbreaker Feb. 22 to visiting Presbyterian 11-10. Rosella leads the team after three games in goals with nine and total points with 10. She also leads in shots on goal with 16, proving she’s an attacker who’s not afraid to seize the moment. Nardi scored twice against Presbyterian, including a third-quarter goal that tied the game at 7-7. In a historic four-overtime 13-12 win over Akron, Nardi scored four times. She is a criminal justice major.

Chloe Schaeffer

A lacrosse manager in her junior year after she was sidelined with a break in her foot, Chloe came back to lead Cape to the state lacrosse title in 2019, posting a perfect 18-0 record, beating Archmere in the state final 15-8. Schaeffer had five goals and three assists in that final game and 14 total goals in three state tournament games. Chloe is now a senior captain for the Mercer University Bears, who are favored to repeat as champions of the Big South Conference. The Bears started the season Feb. 19 with an 11-8 upset win over Virginia Tech of the ACC. Chloe had two goals and two assists for the game, and picked up a pair of ground balls.
