April 17, 2025

Sussex County Libraries have partnered with Browseabout Books to host the Sussex County Beachside Book Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Local authors will be giving book talks, and their works will be available for purchase, along with offerings from Cape Region vendors.

Bestselling author David Baldacci will discuss and sign copies of his newest work, “Strangers in Time,” in a special 5 p.m. ticketed event at the convention center. Set in London in 1944, “Strangers in Time” tells the story of a bereaved bookshop owner and two teenagers scarred by World War II, and the healing and hope they find in one another.

“We are very excited to bring an author of this caliber to our festival. [It] is an opportunity to build partnerships, highlight the city of Rehoboth Beach, and meet local artisans and authors,” said Lisa Petrecca, festival event planner.

Participating libraries include: Bridgeville, Georgetown, Greenwood, Laurel, Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach, Selbyville and South Coastal.
