Bamforth and Montini win titles at 41st Dam Mill 5K

Jake Bamforth, 27, a triathlete from Colorado, returned to Sesame Street by the Sea for flatlander mountain respite and won the 41st Dam Mill 5K July 28 in 15:50.
Matt Sparacino, 46, aka the Harrington Harrier, was second overall and first masters in 18:07. Olivia Montini, 19, was first woman and third overall in 18:55. Sheila Loar, 53, was female masters winner in 23:06.

The next Seashore Striders event is the Race for Paws K at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Dewey Beach Lions Club.

Karen Cathell, 43, rounds the final turn and heads to the finish line.
