Bayhealth awarded for excellence in marketing

December 10, 2024

Bayhealth’s marketing, communications and community outreach team was recently honored with four Aster Awards for work completed in 2023.

The prestigious competition has for more than 23 years honored outstanding professionals who demonstrate excellence and innovation in their healthcare marketing efforts.

The competition saw a remarkable array of entries this year, and a distinguished panel of industry experts meticulously reviewed and evaluated each submission based on multiple criteria.

Bayhealth competed against healthcare systems with 250-plus inpatient beds across the nation.

“The awards demonstrate the diversity of expertise, innovation and talent on our team,” said Amanda Bowie, MSM, vice president of marketing, communications and community. “We have the honor of bringing our brand to life through campaigns and communications that we hope inspire the communities we serve.”

All entries are scored on multiple criteria with a possible top ranking of 100%. Gold awards scored between 95-99% or top 5% in the nation; silver awards scored between 90-94% or top 12% in the nation; and bronze awards scored between 85-89% or top 16% in the nation.

Bayhealth’s team won a Gold Award for Bayhealth Colorectal Screening Campaign, Gold Award for Bayhealth Nursing & Patient Care Services Annual Report 2023, Silver Award for Infant Bereavement Reel, and Bronze Award for Bayhealth at Slam Dunk to the Beach.

“Marketing in healthcare often deals with serious illnesses, chronic conditions, or life-or-death situations. It’s challenging,” said Alice Rausch, MBA, senior manager of marketing, communications and community outreach. “These awards are a testament to the balance of promoting healthcare services while communicating about these issues in a way that is respectful and sensitive to our patients and their families. I’m so proud of our team.”
