Bayhealth fall golf event to benefit cancer nurse navigator program

September 16, 2024

The Bayhealth Foundation’s 10th Annual Fall Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Oct. 4, at the new Southern Delaware Golf Club, 6152 S. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford.

Proceeds will benefit the Bayhealth Cancer Institute Nurse Navigator program in continuing support for cancer patients and reducing barriers to care.

Through clinical expertise and personalized care, Bayhealth Cancer Institute team members offer hope for a healthier future for every cancer patient at Bayhealth Kent and Sussex campuses. For 20 years, Bayhealth’s team of nurse navigators has assisted patients through each step after a cancer diagnosis, aiding and supporting them in their journey to better health. Bayhealth nurse navigators work tirelessly with their patients to ensure a seamless coordination of care, from scheduling appointments to providing resources and overall support.

“We look forward to celebrating this tournament’s 10th anniversary,” said Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, DMin., Bayhealth Foundation president. “We are honored to continue a tradition that makes such a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients and their journeys.”

Bayhealth’s cancer program continues to expand to meet the growing needs of the community. In July, the first two fellows started in the Hematology-Medical Oncology Fellowship Program, the first and only program in Delaware created to train the next generation of hematologist-oncologist physicians.
