Bayhealth Foundation golf tourney raises $54,000 to fight breast cancer

October 24, 2023

The Bayhealth Foundation recently hosted its 10th consecutive and newly renamed Go Pink at the Links fall golf tournament as an official extension of Bayhealth’s annual Go Pink! efforts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Hosted at Heritage Shores Golf Course in Bridgeville, the event raised $54,000 that will directly support the fight against breast cancer locally through the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.

The support shown through this event will strengthen Bayhealth’s continued work to offer innovative treatments and services for community members battling breast and other types of cancers.

“It is our honor to continue supporting the Bayhealth Cancer Institute in their fight against breast cancer and all cancers,” said Bayhealth Foundation President Lindsay A. Rhodenbaugh, DMin. “We were excited to share our fresh take on this tried-and-true event, and we look forward to building upon our efforts in the years to come.”

The foundation also hosted a donor event at Benvenuto in Milford prior to the golf tournament. The event specifically highlighted the Bayhealth Cancer Institute’s nurse navigator program through a panel discussion with service line leaders and clinicians. It also featured a local breast cancer patient who shared her positive experience in the program.
