Bayhealth Foundation hosts speech pathology info session
The Bayhealth Foundation recently organized an informative session on speech pathology held at the Heritage Shores community in Bridgeville.
The event featured presentations from Bayhealth's speech pathology department.
At Bayhealth, speech pathologists evaluate, diagnose, treat and educate patients and family members about speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders.
During the session, Rehabilitation Services Manager Meredith Sullivan, MS, CCC-SLP, FACHE, MBA, and Speech Pathology Supervisor Ashley Jones, MS, CCC-SLP, will shed light on the distinctive tests offered by Bayhealth, with a particular focus on the FEES test (fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing). This procedure involves inserting a scope through the nose to provide a comprehensive view of the throat.
Bayhealth's commitment to providing cutting-edge healthcare solutions is exemplified by its investment in state-of-the-art technology and specialized testing. By offering the FEES test, Bayhealth ensures that its speech pathologists have access to the most accurate and comprehensive diagnostic tools available, so they can deliver personalized treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
